Shiba Inu ($SHIB) Announces Upcoming NFT Sale

In a recent Medium post, Shiba Inu has announced the launch of an NFT collection named “Shiboshis”. The NFT collection will be similar in theme to the SHIB coin, emphasizing the tongue-in-cheek nature of the coin based upon a dog breed. The post claims the launch, which is expected to take place this week, will involve the creation of 10,000 Shiboshis. Users will initially be able to purchase the NFTs during the first 24-hours with $LEASH, followed by the combination of $ETH and $LEASH thereafter. The post claims the initial purchase will be through the ShiboshiSwap website, which has been personalized for the sale of Shiboshis. Users will then be able to transfer and trade their NFTs on secondary marketplaces such as OpenSea. The NFT collection will be sold on a tiered basis initially, with costs doubling after the first 3,000 Shiboshis are sold. The report reads

The post also claims that users will be able to use $SHIB to rename their Shiboshis, with the spent funds resulting in a coin burn. The post continues, 

Initially [Shiboshis] just have generic names like 00001, but you can name it Flytoshi Kahn or whatever you like for an additional fee of $100 paid in Shib. Whenever the name is changed, these funds are burnt to the Shib burn wallet. If everyone names their Shiboshis that will be a $1 MILLION dollar burn.
